Billabong clothes sizing?

Question

Looking to buy a pair of board shorts online, so will be guesstimating the size I require. How does Billabong sizing come up compared to other brands? On the small side?

Also, is there a difference between UK and US sizing (I can only find these particular shorts in the States), or should the waist measurement stated be all I need to know?

i wear a 32 waist in my billabong shorts and they fit awesome.. I bought a pair of oneil shorts size 32 and they barely stay on my waist. in reality im like a 30 waist but I like to wear my shorts more on my hips.
