Surf necklace Design?

Hi,

I'm designing a surf necklace, and I'm seeing what people like.

Could you list a couple of ideas / features / materials / colours, that you would like to see on the necklace?
If you could add some more information, I would be grateful!

Thanks!

My favourite neclace was a leather strap with some mother-of-pearl shaped like a dolphin and another a surfboard, silver works well too, with small white seashells or tiny abalone shells. The opening cover from larger seashells is spiralled and beautiful. Sand stuck to various items looks good too. the iconic image is a surfer inside the tube if you are carving or making plugs for a mould.

Leather thonging is best if its going to get wet. avoid copper it deteriorates rapidly.

Can you do an anklet? ;)

Rambling....

Green nylon cord, blue beads, mother of pearl, abalone, shark's tooth (obtained legally), pooka shells, coral shards, sterling silver spacers, beach colors like brown and turqoise, freshwater pearls, sterling silver plates with expressions (see example): http://www.amypetersstudio.com/FCpersonalized.jpg
