THE GOLD COAST. Many americans dont realize, just how spectacular the gold coast compairs to california, or hawaii.

At snapper, they hold Quiksilver Pro. At Bells Beach (my fav) they hold the Billabong International, and in Brisbane, at Secret Spot, they hold Rip Curls Surf "till ya die."

The Gold Coast produce some of the best surfers to,

MICK FANNING (number 1 in points right now)

TAJ BURROW (number 2 in points standings, after yesterdays events)

MICK SHORT(number 5 in the world, after yesterdays heat lost to Andy Irons.



Even ask the American Surfing Greats and they'll tell you that The Gold Coast is the best.

And Irons, Kelly Slater, and many more train in Brisbane, so what does that show?

My favorite surf spot is on the beach, just West of Bay Street in Santa Monica.

My favorite spot is Trestles w/o a doubt. It is where I caught my first wave when I was 14 years old I think. I mean really caught the wave...after that I knew that I would always want to recreate that feeling when sliding down the wave.

i live in Australia on the Gold Coast and the eastcoast has many great breaks,Snapper Rocks,Kirra,Currumbin Alley, ive surfed them all often and plenty but my fav is Burleigh
