I am hoping to start longboarding soon but don't know what size I need for my weight and height. I am 5 ft tall (small I know) and about 7.4 stone. Also, what type, like a pin tail or what do you think? I will be using it for cruising and have never ridden one before but would love to start. Any help appreciated, thank you!

Hey this will depend largely on your budget. but in general Most long boards will work well for cruising but I'd still recommend a deck size between 36-42 inches IMO its better to get a board that has at least 1 kick tail and some concave. That way if you ever want to learn any tricks or slides you can. (and you probably will)

Here are some links to boards I like:

and remember a more expensive deck does not mean a better quality deck, you should look up reviews and ratings before making your final purchase

good luck :p

..I don't know what "stone" means haha, um but yeah since your so small you could go for an egg ( type of board) or a small long board, probably about 9 feet and a little wide, it will be pretty heavy, and you'll float on it really good, I've wanted to get into long boarding but since I' m so small It's hard for me to maneuver the board, but if you're just looking to cruise you should be fine, if you need any more help you could always go to your local surfboard shaper or surf shop, and usually they're pretty chill and glad to help anyone interested in buying a board

Get one that is at least 36 inches long. Your size doesn't matter but the longer the board the easier it is to balance and cruise.
